Terms and Conditions for Hotel Accommodation Version: June 2026

1. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions apply to all agreements relating to the provision of accommodation, as well as any additional services, products or facilities provided by WildLand Zanzibar to its guests.

The subletting, re-letting or transfer of booked rooms to third parties, as well as the use of rooms for purposes other than accommodation, requires the prior written consent of the Hotel.

Any terms and conditions of the guest shall apply only if expressly accepted by the Hotel in writing.

2. Reservation, Contracting Parties and Liability

A reservation agreement is concluded when the Hotel accepts a booking request submitted by the guest. The Hotel may confirm reservations in writing, including by email.

The contracting parties are the Hotel and the guest. If a reservation is made on behalf of another person, the person making the reservation may be held jointly responsible for all obligations arising from the reservation, provided that the Hotel has received appropriate confirmation of such responsibility.

Any claims arising from the reservation or the guest’s stay shall be governed by the applicable laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

3. Services, Rates and Payment

The Hotel shall provide the accommodation and services confirmed in the reservation.

Guests are responsible for paying the agreed room rates as well as any additional services, products or charges incurred during their stay. This also applies to services arranged by the Hotel on behalf of the guest through third-party providers.

All published and agreed rates include applicable taxes and fees unless otherwise stated.

Should a guest request changes to a confirmed reservation, including the length of stay, room category, number of guests or additional services, the Hotel reserves the right to adjust the applicable rates accordingly.

The Hotel may require a deposit or advance payment at the time of booking. The amount and payment schedule will be communicated during the reservation process or in the booking confirmation.

Invoices and outstanding balances must be settled within the period stated on the invoice or booking confirmation. The Hotel reserves the right to charge reasonable administrative or collection costs in the event of overdue payments.

Pets are not permitted in guest rooms, suites or villas unless expressly approved by the Hotel in writing.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email.

Standard Reservations

Reservations may be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.

For cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival, or in the event of a no-show, the Hotel reserves the right to charge up to 90% of the total reservation amount.

Long Stay Reservations

Reservations booked under long stay rates may be cancelled free of charge up to 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.

For cancellations made less than 60 days before arrival, or in the event of a no-show, the Hotel reserves the right to charge up to 90% of the total reservation amount.

The Hotel reserves the right to waive cancellation charges at its sole discretion in exceptional circumstances.

5. Hotel’s Right to Cancel

The Hotel reserves the right to cancel a reservation if any agreed deposit or payment is not received within the specified timeframe or after a reasonable reminder has been issued.

The Hotel may also terminate or cancel a reservation for justified reasons, including but not limited to:

  • Force majeure events or other circumstances beyond the Hotel’s reasonable control that make the fulfilment of the reservation impossible;
  • Reservations made using misleading, inaccurate or false information regarding the guest, payment details or purpose of stay;
  • Circumstances where the Hotel reasonably believes that the guest’s stay may jeopardize the safety, security, reputation or smooth operation of the Hotel;
  • Violations of these Terms and Conditions or other applicable Hotel policies.

In the event of a justified cancellation by the Hotel, the guest shall not be entitled to compensation or damages.

6. Check-In and Check-Out

While every effort will be made to accommodate room preferences, the Hotel cannot guarantee the allocation of a specific room, suite or villa.

Reserved accommodations are available from 3:00 PM on the agreed arrival date. Early check-in may be available upon request and subject to availability.

On the agreed departure date, guests are kindly requested to vacate their accommodation between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Late check-out requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

7. Pets

Pets are not permitted on the Hotel premises unless prior written approval has been granted by the Hotel.

If a guest brings a pet to the Hotel without prior authorization, the Hotel reserves the right to refuse accommodation, cancel the reservation or require the guest to leave the property.

In such cases, any applicable cancellation charges or reservation fees shall remain payable in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Hotel shall be liable only for damages resulting from intentional misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Hotel, its employees or authorized representatives, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

The Hotel shall not be liable for interruptions, delays or failures in the provision of services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to force majeure events, natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, governmental actions, transportation disruptions, utility failures or internet outages.

Guests are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings during their stay. The Hotel accepts no liability for loss, theft or damage to personal property unless caused by the intentional misconduct or gross negligence of the Hotel.

Any issues, defects or service interruptions should be reported to the Hotel without undue delay so that appropriate remedial action can be taken.

The Hotel shall not be liable for damage to or loss of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles or other property brought onto the Hotel premises, except where such damage is caused by the intentional misconduct or gross negligence of the Hotel.

9. Final Provisions

Any amendments or additions to these Terms and Conditions, reservations or related agreements should be made in writing. This requirement may also be fulfilled by email. Unilateral amendments by the guest shall not be valid unless expressly accepted by the Hotel.

The place of performance and payment shall be the registered place of business of the Hotel.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the United Republic of Tanzania.
